Buat yang gak tau apa itu JRPG, reverse psychology this stolen joke, do not go fuck yourself. Becanda gw. JRPG itu satu genre videogame yang mainly consisted of turn based battle system(atau berbasiskan pada), sometimes obnoxiously weebo trope dimana2, beautifully main female character, great music, and time wasting grinding gila. Jangan salah, gua suka banget ama JRPG. Gw grew up with it. Ebtanas SD? FF VII time. Ebtanas SMP? FFVIII time. Breath of Fire, Suikoden II, Vandal Hearts, Lufia II, gue bahkan tamatin game2 obscure sampah macem Secret of Evermore or Shadow Madness(which yang technically bukan JRPG sih, but inspired by it) saking cintanya gua ama JRPG. Hell, if you search this crappy blog kebawah2, back at 2013, favorite game gue sepanjang masa itu Final Fantasy VI. Imagine that. The equivalent of me stopping playing JRPG itu bisa gua bandingkan sama kaya seandainya gua stop berhenti makan daging merah karena kolesterol. Bedanya, i do not give a fuck about kolesterol, and i give a lot of fuck about my TIME, yang menjadi alasan utama kenapa gua gak mau lagi maen JRPG.

Time? Really? is that why you stop playing JRPG, kritikuspurapura? That is such a cliche reason. Ya ya ya, stop talking my inner stupid self. Ini bukan berarti gua gak punya waktu ya. I have all the time in the world buat playing games, percaya gak percaya. I have a quite decent main job yang bisa dibilang santai banget dan bahkan bisa jadi alasan buat gua keep playing JRPG, even at my office, but lets get back to that later. I have a very generous and awesome wife yang totally understand passion gua ama game, movie, writing, music, or whatever the fuck yang biasa gua lakuin di depan PC kalo di rumah. SO WHY? Because playing JRPG is exhausting as hell. You have to keep following the story, you just can’t skip the story, because if you skip the story in playing RPG, you’re missing one of their greatest trope. Emang sih, gak semua JRPG itu ceritanya bagus, tapi unlike their western counterpart, you have to love(or love to hate) your main character to love JRPG.Gua gak tau kenapa ya tapi belakangan kalo maen WRPG, malah jadi kaya gak mau skip the story. Games like Witcher 3, Divinity Original Sin 2, Dragon Age inquisition, bikin gua kayanya jadi pengen tau cerita2 mereka, padahal game2 kaya skyrim, FA4, bikin gua gak tahan pengen skip all the fuckin story. But, when I play Octopath Traveler, Ni no Kuni II, FF XV, bikin gua pengen skip2 semuanya and just go for the main content of the gameplay. Apa karena gua makin tua? Makin gak patient dengan game. I don’t want my game baru seru dimaenin pas hours ke 10-15. I want my game to getting awesome even in the first hour.

Cuma ada dua game JRPG(kalo lu mau maksain masukin dalem kategori RPG ya) yang menurut gua bagus banget perkembangannya dalam ngikutin perkembangan jaman(read mengikuti umur gua), breath of the wild, and From Software any kind of souls game.

I still want to try Persona 5. I still want to play Zodiac Agenya FF XII, or even take a quick dip to the DQ XI but gak tau deh bakal gua selesaiin ato kaga. Kemungkinan besar sih kaga. There are so much more entertainment stuff in the world sekarang yang kayanya lebih worthed buat diikutin dan diselesaiin daripada maen JRPG. It is such a shame sih emang sebenernya, but mau gimana lagi? Time moves on. And its not bukannya JRPG yang gak move on and evolve, its just I am getting sick of it. And no, this is not a temporary thing, I am ready to say goodbye to my childhood nostalgia. And will only recatching it thru soundtrack, or memories that always stay in mind.

Ah whatever, this is just some random thing to rant at for me..
